We limit our collection to information reasonably needed to operate and improve the Services.
A. Name and Contact Information
We may collect:

Trip destinations;
Travel dates;
Activities or events planned during the trip;
Itinerary details; and
Packing preferences.
We use this information to provide trip-specific outfit suggestions, destination weather information, and packing recommendations.
The destination information you enter is not the same as precise device location. Wear In The World does not currently collect or access your device’s precise GPS location.
If precise device location is introduced in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and request permission through your device before collecting it.
C. Style Profiles
You may create a style profile containing information such as:
Clothing or style preferences;
Outfit preferences;
Packing preferences;
Preferred dress styles for particular activities; and
Information you voluntarily add to a personal or family traveler profile.
We use style-profile information to personalize outfit and packing suggestions.
If you create a profile for a family member or another traveler, you are responsible for having permission to provide their information. You should avoid entering sensitive or unnecessary personal information about another person.
D. Waitlist and Marketing Information
When you join the Wear In The World waitlist or subscribe to emails, we may collect:
Your name;
Your email address;
Your subscription status; and
Information showing whether an email was delivered, opened, or interacted with, where supported by our email provider.
You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link included in the email.
We may still send non-promotional communications that are necessary to operate your account or respond to a request.
E. Technical and Website Information
Our website, hosting provider, WordPress installation, security tools, and other service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to operate and protect the Services, such as:
Internet Protocol address;
Browser or device type;
Operating system;
App or browser version;
Date and time of access;
Error reports;
Security logs; and
Website pages or app features accessed.
We use this information to maintain security, diagnose technical problems, prevent abuse, and understand whether the Services are functioning correctly.
The website may also use necessary cookies or similar technologies required for site operation, security, form submissions, and user preferences.
2. Information We Do Not Intend to Collect
Wear In The World does not currently intend to collect:
Precise GPS location;
Contact lists;
Health or medical information;
Government identification numbers;
Biometric information;
Payment-card details directly;
Access to your phone’s photos or camera; or
Information for third-party behavioural advertising.
If a future app feature requires a new category of information, we will provide an appropriate notice, request permission where required, and update this Privacy Policy.

Protect the Services against fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security threats;
Enforce our Terms of Service;
Comply with legal obligations; and
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We may create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual. We may use that information to understand general usage trends and improve the Services.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable privacy laws require a legal basis, we process personal information based on one or more of the following:
Performance of a contract: Processing needed to provide the Services you request.

Legitimate interests: Such as maintaining security, responding to users, preventing misuse, and improving the Services.
Legal obligations: When processing is required to comply with applicable law.

You may withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time by unsubscribing.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We do not share your trip information or style profiles with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
We may disclose personal information in the following limited circumstances.
A. Service Providers
We may provide information to vendors that help us operate the Services, including providers of:
Website and application hosting;
Cloud storage or databases;
Website security;
Customer support;
Email delivery and email marketing;
Error monitoring; and

These providers may only process information for the services they perform for us and are expected to protect the information they receive.
B. Mailchimp
Wear In The World may use Mailchimp to manage the waitlist and send email communications.
When you subscribe, your name, email address, subscription status, and email-engagement information may be processed through Mailchimp. Mailchimp operates under its own privacy terms and data-processing practices.

C. Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process;
Respond to a lawful government request;

The recipient will remain subject to this Privacy Policy or must provide notice of any materially different privacy practices.
E. With Your Direction or Consent
We may share information when you direct us to do so or give us permission.
6. Destination Weather Information
Wear In The World uses the trip destination and travel dates you provide to display or generate weather-related outfit suggestions.
The Services are designed to use the destination you enter rather than your device’s precise GPS location.
Weather information may be provided by external data sources. Weather forecasts are estimates and may change. You should check official and current local weather information before travelling or participating in weather-sensitive activities.
7. Email Choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by:
Selecting the unsubscribe link in an email; or
Contacting us at privacy@wearintheworldapp.com
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not automatically delete your app account, traveler profiles, trip information, or other information stored through the Services.
To request deletion of your account or personal information, follow the process described below.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Provide the Services;
Maintain your account or waitlist subscription;
Complete the purposes described in this Privacy Policy;
Meet legal, accounting, security, and reporting obligations;
Resolve disputes; and
Enforce our agreements.
Trip details and style profiles may be retained while your account remains active or until you delete them or request account deletion.
Waitlist information may be retained until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the waitlist is no longer needed.
When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it, subject to legal and technical limitations.
Deleted information may remain in protected backup systems for a limited period before being automatically overwritten.
9. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time.
Where account creation is available, you may initiate deletion through the account or privacy settings provided in the app.
You may also request deletion by emailing:
privacy@wearintheworldapp.com
Your request should include the email address associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
Following a verified deletion request, we will delete or de-identify the personal information associated with your account unless retention is required for:
Legal compliance;
Fraud prevention;
Security;
Billing or transaction records;
Resolving disputes; or
Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your account or information.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, misuse, or disclosure.
These safeguards may include access controls, secure hosting, authentication measures, software updates, monitoring, and encryption where appropriate.
However, no website, mobile application, database, or method of transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for protecting any login credentials associated with your account and for notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.
11. International Processing
Wear In The World and its service providers may process or store personal information in the United States or other countries.
Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

13. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create their own Wear In The World accounts.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
An adult user may create a family traveler profile, but the adult is responsible for having appropriate authority to provide that information and should provide only information necessary for outfit and packing recommendations.
If we learn that personal information was collected directly from a child under 13 without appropriate permission, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information may contact:

We encourage you to review the policies of any third-party service you use.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our Services, data practices, service providers, or legal obligations change.
The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
Where required, we will provide additional notice through the app, website, or email before a material change takes effect.
